DHS Brings Immigration Enforcement Operation to Charlotte, North Carolina ’The Surge Has Arrived! No Slowing Down’. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has formally launched an immigration law enforcement operation in Charlotte, North Carolina, in addition to its ongoing work in Chicago. “Americans should be able to live without fear of violent criminal illegals hurting them, their families, or their neighbors,” DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement. “We are surging DHS law enforcement to Charlotte to ensure Americans are safe and public safety threats are removed. Democrats’ ‘Principled Stand’ on the Shutdown Is an Attempt to Pay Back Their Health Insurance Donors. Ever since the disaster of Obamacare was unleashed on the American public, our healthcare system has only gotten worse – except for the insurance companies, who bathed in massive profits thanks to their pal Obama. Some health insurance stocks are up 1,000 percent in the last 15 years, and even Obama’s cheerleaders at the New York Times called Obamacare a “blessing”! This puts in the last piece of the puzzle as to why the Democrats dug in their heels so much on the longest shutdown in American history. The Democrats’ insistence on extending Obamacare subsidies is not some principled stand on behalf of any huddled masses yearning to breathe free: this is obstructionism to feed their donors’ profits. The “follow the money” on this one is pretty straightforward. In the 2024 campaign, insurers gave five times more money to Kamala Harris than to Donald Trump. In the 2018 cycle, the industry gave 30 times as much to federal Democrat candidates as Republicans: $63 million to just $2.2 million. While this “principled stand” may help Democrats squeeze more money from insurance companies, it has not helped their popularity. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer broke the record for most unpopular national figure in the last 40 years of polling. ​

House Speaker Mike Johnson Calls out Democrats – “The Democrats Just Want to Subsidize the Broken System” House Speaker Mike Johnson was on “Fox News Sunday” with host Shannon Bream to talk about the Republican agenda in the House. He also criticized Democrats for their lack of vision and the wasted time during the recent government shutdown. “The shutdown is over since the last time we talked, but now you have nine appropriations bills that have to get through the House and Senate to the President’s desk by January 31st,” Bream said. Johnson also put the blame on the Democrats for the problems in regard to healthcare. He reminded the viewers that the Democrats are the ones who widely supported Obamacare.“ The moral bankruptcy was the Democrats who wrecked American healthcare. Remember in 2010, they created the unaffordable care act. It did exactly the opposite of what they promised. Premiums have risen dramatically,” Johnson explained. “The Democrats just want to subsidize the broken system. Staten Island Renews Push to Secede From New York City Due to Zohran Mamdani Mayoral Win. Staten Island is renewing its push to secede from the city of New York and be its own city following the mayoral victory of Democratic Socialist (communist) Zohran Mamdani. Unlike Manhattan and to a lesser extent Brooklyn, Staten Island is home to a much more traditional, slightly more conservative, blue-collar, working community. Most of the people who live there have no interest in the fantasy of free stuff that Mamdani is promising. Of course, this is unlikely to happen. New York City won’t want to let go of Staten Island because they want all of the tax revenue they can squeeze out of the people who live there. On Friday, State Assemblyman Sam Pirozzolo held a rally in Richmond where he read an independence declaration for Staten Island. He delivered the remarks at the location where British soldiers were first read the Declaration of Independence on Staten Island. Who can blame these people for wanting independence from NYC? People don’t want to be ruled by the radical left. It’s really just that simple.
